Beef Rice Bowl

This was good and quick. I served it with white rice and found it generally served two.

Ingredients

  • 10 thin slices of Beef
  • 1 enoki mushroom, separated into 10 portions
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Green onion to garnish
  • Rice

Sauce:

Slice and start cooking the onions first. I didn't cook these enough the first time.

  1. One thin slice of beef, one portion of enoki mushroom, roll it up and rest it opening side facing down.
  2. In a bowl, mix dashi stocksoy saucemirin or sugar, and black pepper.
  3. Drizzle oil in a pan, and Add onion. Turn the heat to medium-high and pan-fry for 3-4 minutes or until the onion is
  4. slightly translucent and soft.
  5. Place the sliced beef on top of the onion, drizzle in the sauce, put the lid on, and let it cook for 3 minutes.
  6. Remove the lid, turn the beef, and depending on the cut/thickness of the beef, you may need to cook another 1-2 minutes.
  7. Drizzle the egg all over the pan onto the sauce, and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Garnish with green onion, and enjoy!
