HONEY ZA’ATAR CHICKEN WITH CHICKPEAS

5 chicken thighs I used boneless and skinless
1 tbsp Za’atar
1/2 tbsp Smoked Paprika
Salt and Pepper, to taste
1 lemon, juiced
1/3 cup honey I think I used much less honey and lemon juice
4 cloves Garlic, diced I forgot this and it was still delish
15 oz can chickpeas
1 red onion
red pepper, to taste didn't use this
fresh Dill, for garnish didn't use this
2 tbsps Olive Oil
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Add za’atar, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to chicken thighs. Ensure all pieces are coated in seasonings. Add olive oil to a skillet and warm over medium heat. Add chicken thighs and brown on both sides, about 3 minutes per side. Place on a baking sheet.
- Add chickpeas to baking sheet. Roughly slice a red onion and add to baking sheet.
- Combine honey, lemon juice, and diced garlic cloves. Mix together and pour on top of chicken and chickpeas, ensuring everything is coated.
- Baked for 20 minuets.
- Eat!
